@Manghuwa I just feel like it's the classic manhua thingy man. Like it happens very often no matter who it is, but it is kind of well not well suited for "scheming". If you kept shouting that a hero everybody truly believes is kind, righteous and you know "helping them" is actually a villain people would call bullshit instantly. Not to mention that we did witness the power of a ancestor of the gu family before and I would assume at least 1 guy spread rumors about them, it could be that they weren't able to see the gu family ancestors powers before as they weren't born that long ago but rumors should still make them cautious and go "yeah fu** this I'm out" before even attempting anything. But it is still entertaining so I could care less lol
