@AIDENXEI001 you apparently don't remember anything that talked about why he kept his distance, as a baby when he approached she would cry, then as she was growing up the Queen and maid brain washed her by saying he is scary and doesn't want her near him, and from that she trusted the wrong people, he can't do anything when the Queen is in charge of the princesses budget so he wouldn't know she was getting mistreated. It was an elaborate trap to remove the princess which honestly had it not happened she probably wouldn't have gained the chance to gain any power being a normal princess.
