as far as I can tell the only reason the ML is doing this is because he is butthurt about the FL not entirely cutting ties with her family. It seems to me that he is trying to cut off all of her escape routes so that she has no choice but to stay with him whether she wants to or not.

And that's why since the beginning of this manhwa, I want her to divorce him and live the life she wants..
@Sera I guess its also the revenge for his mother. As he thinks his mother's downfall is because of FL's mother.
