@zzz that was before, he stop thinking like that after TOONO got it see his Ture self. And him liking TOONO happened natural.

@I hate love triangles that makes no sense all his life he ws trying to copy what his cousin liked isn't it odd how he saw toono and yuu getting all close he only started to like him then it's weird.

@zzz That’s not it. He started liking him because he saw that TOONO didn’t change the way he treated him after seeing his personality. Just go back and re-read it, and you’ll understand.

And it’s not that he was copying what his cousin liked, but rather his cousin’s behavior/personality, because in his POV, he wasn’t really people-pleasing due to his personality. There’s a part where that molester came back to attack TOONO, and YACCHAN was there. If you read his thoughts, you can see that he also thought helping TOONO out would earn him points, but he realized that wasn’t the case anymore. That little game of his died quickly.

So him liking TOONO wasn’t because of his cousin. If anything, you could say the game backfired on him.

Go back and re-read Chapter 14, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
