@ge-l the empress has black hair, she is the ml's aunt, and the fl's mother is the emperor's concubine/mistress/wife

@ge-l the fl mother is the blonde one who is the mistress, she only becomes empress after the black haored empress, ml aunt, dies cuz the country has to to have an empress i guess

@ge-l if she was the empress then ml aunt wouldn't have been killed. Ml aunt was the empress and after she died fl mother took her place
