The woman Ruby and Void mistook to be the graveyard keeper is actually Rosetta, Ruby's new adoptive mom and the duchess. She has pink hair but disguises it. Rosetta can tell that Ruby is a girl straightaway. Her identity is later revealed when Rosetta returns officially and spots her in the hot springs, recognizing her and deducing that she is Rubian, her new adopted "son". Anyway Ruby is surprised and runs away. She is kidnapped alongside some noble children and Richt (the prince), but meets a female wizard (who is also kidnapped). Together they manage to escape and run away to a cave to hide and wait for rescue. The rescue team eventually comes, and so does The Duke and Khalid. She is nervous at first and retreats into the cave, but the Duke talks to her and assures her that it doesn't matter whether she's a guy or girl. FL's father gave her a bell some time back that she can ring to call him (because she cannot call him "Father" yet) and so she rings the bell, he goes to find her in the cave and she at last calls him "Father".
