I want to say something that many will agree and many will disagree, in this manhwa Mc has a lot of plot armour but even after becoming stronger by going through literal hèll he has to depend on his harem. It's like he is a newbie in a game and he is friends with max out players, im all for power of friendship or love. I just atleast want Mc to be powerful enough to stand beside his harem. Well I could be wrong but that's how I see it. I like the I kîlled the academy player more than this (I am not saying that I dislike this manhwa) in that atleast not everyone is overpowered at the starting.
That's if you treat this manhwa as your typical powerscaling shonen. If you remember the setting, he is always going to be an extra, and instead of enjoying his harem life, he's tied down by responsibility. Every other character has being OP as a defining trait. His job is not to be the best, but to play out the scenario towards the good ending he knows from his past. He's not a carry but a support, his growth relies on the growth of the people around him.
Either way, from past chapters (exam arc where he dueled that professor), he is strong enough to stand beside them.
@Bane Dinjar but watch I killed an academy player in it not every one is overpowered at the start of the series the have to do some training but not in this manhwa it like everyone is already maxed out (their is some emotional development but that's ît)
@Some Body I'm kinda fond of that one expression of his though. It reminds me of a cat who's sick and tired of watching you lol...I don't know why but it's entertaining.
progression and growth is typical for powerscaling shonen, which this manhwa is not. The people around Ed are bosses for the real protagonist of their world (swordsman) to take down. If you follow that one and his perspective, you will have the progression that you are looking for. But from ed's perspective, he knows that the world is a shimmy away from doom. While that swordsman classmate is taking down one boss after the other, Ed is stressing out from changing too many things in the timeline.
The story is not about getting stronger, it's about keeping the original story flowing and setting all conditions towards the only good ending that Ed knows about.
@DarkShadow Yeah that seems to be the backstory. Never expected a ex-military guy to have an expression like that 90% of the time... I know it's a serious thinking face but it looks like Ed's original face had quite the luxurious default as when it's a serious expression he always looks...umm... how else can I put it? I really can't say it any other way he looks like a cat with a dead-pan expression 😂. It's quite the endearing expression
