correct me if i'm wrong but from the 1st chapter it seems she was mistreated by all and the family did all this to protect her? i mean how? letting her get mistreated by others is protecting her?

@Thunder I dunno, its asian webtoon logic. This isn't the first time I've read this premise. And won't be the last.
@Thunder i bet they locked her away in the annex because she was weaker and vulnerable against their enemies so they pretended to not care, which let everyone else mistreat her. it's stupid and a weak plot point but as the other commenter said, it's manhwa logic lol, they'll magically turn out to be very doting and i'd eat it up again and again
@kali ah yes, and they even made her live in worst possible room to be in so she can die of ilness huh?
