It feels a bit like a cop out that in the end the girl didn't get hurt because of the guy she liked especifically, they just got harassed by a completely different group of guys from Chidori (who at this point in time seem to like bothering Kikyo girls whenever they see them, so even if she had gone alone or with her female friends, this might have still happened). Anyway, I'm baffled by Japanese teacher standards of getting involved in what your student does outside of school. The teachers from my country love their students, as it is normal when you work with children every day, but they do not get paid enough to do all this extra work.
