This is called the 'hot and cold' technique, which is often used by manipulators to bind a victim to themselves. There was a moment when he saw how Jihyun confessed his love to Chiwoo at night and then on the same day made a performance with tears and requests to accept his feelings. It looked like a planned attempt to guilt trip him. Also, his true nature was shown when at the end he deliberately provoked Jihyun and tried to have the guy beat him up and be expelled (“It would've been better if he'd beaten me up more last time and broken something... that would've got him expelled...").
In this season, Chiwoo didn't want to have sеx but the blond guy immediately began to manipulate and guilt trip him (“I'm gonna die at this rate… I'll just go it once”) and then raped him even though he was told about the pain (“Deep inside… It hurts…”) and asked to stop, but all requests were ignored (“I can’t”).
I hope this will help you understand why this character is so disliked. For me personally, the worst thing is that the blond guy doesn’t even feel guilty for all his... actions.»
