@unknown person i think that according to previous chapters that i faintly remember, the earrings a man wears is culturally important and is kinda similar to something like a scene in a olden style manwha, with the counts and kings and such, where a lady offers her 'hand in marriage' i.e. her virginity to a man.

so more or less he's like, asking her to take him as a serious partner/husband since she's taken off his earrings. offering himself to her so to speak.
