I don't know what kind of romance you read, but this isn't the beginning of the relationship, all the courting and swooning happened years ago...they can't really love each other because of politics and broken hearts but they still have a tie to one another, the child...this is a story about reconciliation, high drama court politics, family values in relationships. This isn't Romeo and Juliet young love.
If this ain't your cup of tea, whatever, but don't say the ML is fuc*** up. He has to do what best for his country along with what is best for his heart. Ml didn't explain anything? ML didn't swoon her? Thats literally the point...
