@NokkoGamma "Why only a sword" is probably the same thing one of the Green Lanterns complained about in a DCAU Justice League episode. She was a trainer, and she mentioned they have this powerful energy that can do literally anything they can think of (except kill, apparently)... and most of the GLs did things like make boxing gloves or other simple constructs with it, either lacking or not using the imagination to do more.
