That was wrong and no he won't "just get over it" but at the same time I dislike people like mc. "I wish it could be that easy" it's not easy but you need help and you can't seem to notice that. To move on or make the memories less traumatic you must get help you cannot do things solo, because you're so stubborn and can't let someone in. It's hard relieving the memories and abuse but each time you talk about it more openly the more you'll start coming to terms with it and accept what happened to you wasn't your fault but your abuser's. You deserve better and they should not keeping haunting you and making your life he** anymore, you're free now. You have a voice and you're a strong human being.
