@lacticacid actually my concept us different, I commented that from my beleifs. There can be only two type of people one saint who treats every life equal, from bacteria/insect to human. And people who treats the life of a related more than any other including other human. Other than that everyone is hypocrite. I eat chicken and goat and people tell me how can you kill someone for your taste(vegan usually) though they kill thousands of insects for just one better vegitable. How is it you treat one life more than other? If you're saint then you'll cry for every life even a mosquito. Me on other hand beleive every life is equal but those who are related to me are the one I feel bad about. Though I might be evil but I don't wat to be hypocrite, and certainly I can never be a saint. So treat me as evil but i follow modern rules and that is enough for myself. People kill for there pleasure, safety, and betterment. In such society of this novel there are no rules whatsoever, If I was in his shoes and pretty everage person, any of us would have followed same path. Though evil, but yes you would've survived with that.

@lacticacid you may eat chicken, beef, mutton, pork, dog and cat(if chinese or korean) but if you've raised them like your pet and care about them, you'll never have heart big enough to kill and eat them. Taste would be same but there'll be pain in your heart. Even if they died naturally you would still not eat them because they're related to you, and you loved them. (If you lived them, I've seen people killing their child because they never loved them) Though if you're in adverse and dire condition you may eat a human too to survive(like that ruby team incident) , and that wouldn't be punishable by any modern law or may be by even gods(if they exist), how is it you can kill someone in self defence but not in generally. Who makes such rules, but if such rules nit exist is it still evil, stop seeing this novel from our perspective and you'll not treat him as evil.
