@Black tea personally for me it's because I don't like the romantizing of toxic traits he embodies. I find them neither charming or endearing.

I find no enjoyment in the level of possessiveness that Curtis nor do I see it as some sign of great love.

The fact that he would have hurt the children if he could have gotten away with it makes me hate him.
