What is he talking about? He's won so many awards and recognition already. He is know in the small screen and the big screen. He's also know from stage and commercials. I can understand not wanting to leave, but saying that's the reason. Doesn't make sense. He should have said he has responsibilities and a life at home. Not this BS. Besides all that. I think Hollywood is a great opportunity and lets be honest. These opportunities don't fall into your lap everyday. I hope he won't regret it

@Chris I mean he is mostly famous locally (Korea) and he is also right, Asians and other minorities are usually less popular in Hollywood, even when I try to think of famous Asian actors, most of them are wasians.
like he wants to have an actual strong foundation only by acting, not modelling, maybe you read it too fast or sum but like she is offering modelling work to him to get more famous and then if he has luck with that get a Hollywood role, she isn't silver plattering the Hollywood role.
(I'm so sorry the text sounds so rude but it's not my intention 😭😭)

@Nyx I agree with you 💯 and that's because you and me and also a lot of other people who can read correctly, we go slow and right over the lines and understand what's going on

@Nyx & @Rip
No worries I didn't feel you were rude at all. In fact I appreciate your insights and thoughts. As far as your remarks go. I disagree. If I am not misreading the situation. He has international recognition with the Priest movie. As far as modeling goes. I never mentioned anything about modeling. All I said was that he already has recognition and if he doesn't try to see what is being offered from other agencies. He may regret it. I agree unfortunately Asian actors don't get the roles they deserve in Hollywood, but that's no reason not to try. Sure most lead role for Asians are usually some action movie with kung fu or something. Still there are many other roles a good looking Asian that speaks English could excel at. As far as small roles goes. He's done many of those already. So why not do something similar in Hollywood and build his reputation there

@Chris it's not like he said he won't ever do it but Hollywood is something much much bigger than what he achieved til now. So what he wants to do I think is to be not only being well known but also he wants to grow as an actor and be better at his acting to be ready for other roles in Hollywood or so.
He also spoke about in the chapters before that he wasn't really sure about his acting (he has some insecurities) so he wants to grow and learn much much more and this all of course will take time.
I hope you understand it and I also can understand what you mean but as an actor there is much more that how well known you are in your country or how good you are in your acting. Especially the Hollywood industry is really dark.
I also saw a lot of documentations from famous actors where they said that they needed a lot of time to choose a project and some of them also regretted that they choose the wrong ones.

@RIP Yes, I did see his struggle. Especially when he realize he lost sight of his goals of being a better actor and being the main lead does not always mean the same thing. I understand wanting to be better at your craft, but lets not forget he has more than twice the experience of other actors his age. You will have to at some point step up. As I said before. These opportunities don't just land in your lap everyday. Hollywood don't give out roles to just anyone. If he wants to stay in Korea. That's fine. But don't expect Hollywood to wait around for you. As far as actors regreting miss opportunities. Off the top my head I can thing of one great actor. Sean Connery and the Matrix. But the point I'm making is that he's limiting himself by only considering roles in Korea. There's nothing wrong in seeing what's out there. He could always say no. If he doesn't even look. Its a guarantee he'll miss out on a role. He knows the future. Just like the Priest movie. He could find himself in a great opportunity like Luke from Starwars. Jake from Avatar. Or Jack from Titanic. It would be regrettable to not see him shine across the world
