You're all really just displaying a lack of basic history knowledge in these comments.
1) Not every period before the 21st century was MEDIEVAL
2) They have penicillin in this era so it's definitely not medieval era
3) Not even their clothing is medieval, please use your eyes.
4) Guns came before penicillin.
5) For that matter, EKGs ALSO came before penicillin.
6) The normalization of handwashing, at least in Western hospitals, was also close to the era of penicillin. Look up the father of modern handwashing.
7) Elise already said this is NOT Earth. It stands to reason some things will be different. But even using Earth's timeline as a reference, nothing is wildly out of place here except the aesthetics. The artist can't stick to one period but that's not the writer's fault.
