Not everyone awakens their "second gender" at the same time (like when they got their powers), as yuder said he is still an scentless awakened (aka considered beta), cause he didn't go through his second awakening,
From where I stopped in the novel we still didn't get an awakening for kanna nor the twins (so I believe they really are betas), and yes the twins are hinn and Finn (boy and girl)
