@Areth well I mean the entire time they've been pointing out he's not the standard of beauty (unlike what we would think) and is instead the opposite so because they never pointed out this particular lore about the Demon Lord to us until just this chapter we had no clue that that's the reason he hides his face and has a trauma... It totally had nothing to do with the (Fu*ked up) beauty standards in that world but apparently had everything to do with the history we weren't told about until now...
