So first you gotta click that icon 

Then if you slide the options over, on the far right are these 2 options, one for a picture and one for a gif. It'll only let me upload onr photo at a time to show you though

This is what the picture and gif icon look like. 

If you want to use a picture or gif in a reply, there's a paintbrush on the bottom left and it'll bring you to this screen too.
