I always thought "you don't like XYZ thing what are you, a child?" is ironically a childish mindset in and of itself, especially because it's pretty much exclusively used to bully or make fun of someone else. We all have strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. Forcing yourself into something isn't going to make you enjoy life any more than doing what you'd rather do.
