@fire water its a little lackluster the ways it's been explained in the manhwa but in the novel his main justification was that A. Far too many people seem to be catching on and with multiple of them being S rankers it could become difficult to hide himself later and B. He fears that more or less the changes are due to his re-emergence from the west rift and wants to get to the bottom of it
