I'm no therapist, but I do have a family member with a s3x addiction problem. I think in Sho's case it's normal for him to feel that way, since he is a s3x addicted. The same goes for hypersexuality caused by trauma. Both of them are compulsive behaviors that you do not control, like Sho said, if he doesnt have s3x his body heats up and he can't sleep. Its not a choice, but a need. Its way more than just been promiscuous. That in itself is traumatic, so its normal for the person to feel like Sho felt, like he was tainted, since he couldnt control his s3x drive, but he was controlled by it.
But if it was just a casual thing out of fun to seek pleasure, it also makes unconfortable to guild trip the character
