So my understanding of the story was the 10 corpses were needed to open the gate to the demon world, the fact he's already destroyed some and taken ownership of 1, wouldn't that mean that they wouldn't be able to open the gate now, as they needed the 10?

@Cosi they would still be able to somehow for the plot with enough human sacrifice or smth
