This style of story telling reminds me of the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. The audience never finds out what's in it. All we know is that's its incredibly important. Guess the author (is the book written that way as well?) didn't trust in their ability to actually convey what the movies were even about, cause anything they can think of, will no doubt fall short of the hype that was built
