@Ayame12 from what I understand she handed to the king the documents with the agreement between the marques and the temple. She just made them sink even more🤣

@CAtNoir I love it, by exposing  their crimes to him, she's practically wrote their death warrant and bought her self some serious protection. The emperor was making a big show of magnanimously 'forgiving' her families crimes to demonstrate his power to them, and try and get her loyalty so he can get access to her power. Finding out that they've spat on his generosity (that's how he'll see his actions) and gone behind his back to sell what he wants to a rival power (the temple) this guy's going to take it to be a betrayal, maybe even a treasonous action, he'll think he'd been played and lash out.
She having dilligantly brought this information to him will be safe, but he might try to use her so called families lives as leverage. Won't it be satisfying if she says the equivalent of kill em, don't matter to me.
