@Kuquburra my mom would quite literally hit me and my youngest brother would get her love and affection but that didn't make me resent him for being my mom's favourite, he was my favourite sibling after my sister the one I resented the most was my other brother who wasn't treated well either.

@Reader there are times in life when people get sick of everything no real reason, but in her case she's unable to lash out at the main cause of her hatred because she's desperate for love from that sht of a father.
When you work so hard to please that shtty man yet no matter how much you do it's worthless, while the other does nothing, constantly fails but is showered in love who do you think she will target?
Your resentment of your brother I don't know what's going on there, but that's a RL comparison, which can be random, while a story has limitations, there's no other sibling, the authors writing ability, other character dynamics. The reader needs an investment in the story to get involved.
