Someone teach this writer about real life romance and about trauma from abusive relationship. This sh** wouldn't fly, seen it time and time again while in the military. "Sorry, I didn't know how you felt,..", "I was young back then..." or " it was my first, how the fu** am I supposed to know"... after the spouse finally leaves.
