If you lack confidence, everything will be an excuse to doubt. From "He's never had any experience before me, I'm probably his trial run until he finds someone better!" to “I will never live up to his other relationships and he is going to find someone better, he has a choice after all”. While each time it is possible to find a more confident version: “I am his one and only, wow!” or “He may have had other relationships, but he’s planning to have his last one with me and that’s beautiful.”
