Can't believe the ex's mum beat Garam. She was an adult and he was a minor. That's straight up assault.
I can sort of understand the ex's perspective in that he was only a kid and didn't want to lose his mum's love, but he knew that his mum would be upset when he started it with Garam. You can't bring someone else into your family's discrimination issues if you're not going to defend them and your choice to be with them.
It'll be interesting how it plays out with the ML now that his mother is involved - Garam already has a bad experience.
