@Lucien I think he imagined to struggle his dad ehile he was actually being struggled by his dad, and then when he saw his dad walking right into the truck he reached out for him but then stopped because of the things his dad said to him and because of the traume his dad caused him and thought "why should I die, you are the one who should be actually dead" hope this helpss
