Its not his whole fault actually. He just didn't experienced and received the love he needed from his own parents, thus his dad was abusive.
This always happens to kids who wasn't treated and taught with the right mannerisms, like how the teacher explained in the previous chapter that Jaekyung is a not team player because of his temper.

Im not using this as an excuse of his actions towards kim dan, but atleast have some consideration and just keep hanging on until the story unfolds 😭

It makes you more aware, more careful, and more loving. A lot of people break the cycle because of that. but for some peole, trauma repeats if its unhealed and we can see that jaekyung never healed from it he coped by always being busy with his career
