@deleted user but he's shown more than once that he doesn't understand women's high society. How they fight and win on their own terms, and how Sally, a poor, humble background woman experiences it.
She is right and she said it earlier, she needs her own solid position and standing as an independent entity.
She saw how being solely him mistress, letting herself be dependant on him went the first time round.
If she's only relying on his power to bulldoze through problems it won't work long term, and she'd never be respected.
Waiting for him to ride in and fix everything and not fighting herself will make her feel even more powerless and hopeless.
Two people fighting is better that her making herself a sitting duck waiting for the next attack. Plus she can go places and do things he can't. Going with the princess as one of her people, is part of the foundation of building her own protection.
She's looking for into the future, and thinking that the society he is tied to, is not where she wants to be, even if she loves him.
So there's going to come a point where she has to make that choice

@otterlyanylitical i dont think you read my comment because I never said she should just rely on him and stand still, plus you're debating exactly what i said she shoud do, as in she should ask him to JOIN her, not fight for her.

What Sally is planning is to leave, disappear and fight herself alone.... as if that ever worked in her previous life.

Also she doesnt need help to fight Elyse just so she can be respected in society 😂😂 1.... she is already respected. 2... she already has a place outside the Duke and most importantly 3.... Elyse is literally trying to kill her and everyone around her, when she already succeeded in their last life. Who cares if random noble bi*** doesn't respect Elyse because the Duke help her not get killed
