this site has a biased fanbase, even most of the recommendation ask are for BL/Yaoi stories if you browse on the homepage commentary. I personally never bother with top reads, I just read what catches my interest, occassionally asking for recommendation for stories of a specific topic.
Block 'Yaoi' in Settings, i will display the other list.
