@Faerie  catholic priests can smoke. And celibacy is a complex question, it's not a divine law and it hasn't always been a requisite for priests. When a catholic priest is married, for instance, this is a delicate question. But this isn't the case of these priests. There are catholic priests who are married, those who were priests in other Christian denominations and were married, and converted, they can request approval to become catholic priests. They need formal approval from their wives to do so. And of course they remain married.
