She's obviously not used in fights and was probably in shock causing her to just freeze 
everybody reacts to intense situations different, though I see where you're coming from and agree somewhat especially since the "damsel in distress" situation is so overused I wish she could atleast add to it some other way even if she isn't good at fighting, she's Hella smart, right? use that brain to find a solution pls lmak
