Do you like them? If you don't, do not get with them even if its out of pity or if you don't want to lose them. It's not out of love and tbh it would be worse in a one-sided relationship.
My best friend and I got together after she confessed to me. In the end she broke up with me herself, saying she was tired. I asked if we could stay friends so we did but we aren't as close anymore.

@Shoko 4455 yoohhh same happened to me too but i couldn't bring myself to reciprocate her feelings so I told her that we should just stay as friends and I'm not saying this cuz i don't wanna do a relationship with her but becuz i thought of her as my best friend for so long that i couldn't bring myself to turn it into a relationship but she said she couldn't turn blind eye like nothing had happened cuz she's been trying her best not to look out friendship into that kind but she said she just couldn't control it so I was so speechless too
