I found this thread on Reddit since I was lost too ?

- Idris is the demon part of John

Idris was created by Kretschmann in the past (legends say that a man who studies anthropology created the demon, this is probably Idris)
Chapter 60 is set on a past timeline
Yellow eyes Annette and John are their ancestors, the Ducommun (that's why he is called Xavier, cos that's not John)- When their mother made the wish, Kretschmann yeeted the demon (Idris) inside her womb
During that scene we can see Kretschmann saying "bear with it, I will rescue you, Idris." So yeah, Idris got yeeted.
We can also see Kretschmann saying stuff like "if you truly are a knight you will bear the pain". I think this is him talking to Idris as he experiments on him. I also think that he belited Idris since if he was a slave then he couldn't be a true knight.
Kretschmann's does all this to curse the Ducommun family, I assume something to do with a woman or something since he says on chapter 60 he is doing research to bring her back to life. And well, he clearly hates the Ducommun so perhaps they are the ones to blame.
When their mother makes her second wish, Idris and John are separated, but John is heavily influenced by Idris memories.
Idris and past Annette had a relationship. I'm sure he was a slave and that their relationship was forbidden, I am also pretty sure past Annette treated him like sh** and abused him but gave him enough sweet touches to keep him in love.
Every time John says things like "I'm worthless" or "I'm disgusting" etc etc, I think he is remembering his life as Idris, a slave in love with his mistress, worthless and below dirt, I think he thinks this way due to past Annette's abuse.
