Here's my brain actually moving:
So as we see he got kidnapp right?so what if the kidnapper left potato in the woods(patato doesn't remember anything probably becuz the kidnapper give him a drugs cuz patato freaks out when he see the syringe so it reminds him of the kiddnaper)and so patato with no memory thought he was a little puppy and start to follow the wolf and the other then when the boars attack him he got lost once again then he found his dad and finally when the wolf was there potato realize that he was a human not a puppy
