Okay...so...can anyone explain why he wants to marry her, I mean it's surely not because of love or something so what's the reason

@You know what I think he is just interested and petty.
He kept pushing "her brother" into unreasonable promises (a clue is in this chapter that he could have found her easily) and now he does the same with her.
You can say that his character is akin to a cat and she is a toy which seems interesting.
1. He is interested in the motive of hers, deciving him with the neglace.
2. His one eye isn't fully healed and he thinks, he can get information out of her
3. His pettynes shows in the way he teases her right from the start: Him showing up, saving her and right after belittering her for being the chosen one and still ending up in a situation, in which she needed saving, even though he knew she wasn't the one who was chosen.
