@Grid Well he made use of the MC as a merc to resolve issues in his la ds that would have led to deaths among his normal soldiers, so he saved his people from three different bandits in presumably a month or two. Then used his regular guys to crack down on illegal drugs before it lead to wide scale addiction,  and finally pocketed the excess reward money as well as the reputation gain for himself. Granted he is getting an overblown ego that now has him in trouble, but generally hes working well as a manager of his domain, which is what nobles are supposed to do.

@Wolfwind  Considering we don't know why the meds were deemed illeagel it could simply be do to it being too effective, look at current trends in big Pharma.

@SythDracous Oh that could be true, but think of a city mayor who implemented a new policy and reduced drug usage in their city by half without cop deaths. Whether the drugs were dangerous or just too effective would 90% of the population know or care about the difference?

@SythDracous I don't trust the noble, but I'd expect that if the drug were truly safe/lacked downside that merits a ban, MC would have pointed that out while talking about it.  MC is no boyscout, but he still acknowledged BS quite a few times already in the story.
