First of all: WOW so you need gol d. roger and garp together to equal Davy haki? is the Davy promise the same as Joyboy promise? is said promise the DREAM??? the thing Luffy and Gol d. Roger wanted to do when they became pirate king? was davy a real king or the king of the pirates? so many questions. such a good read.
@King of Cans I wonder if Davy D. Jones wasn't Joyboy. Joyboy could've been an alias. Another thought I have is that like the ASL trio there were 3 people who were together: one got killed early on by Imu which sparked the war, Davy D. Jones, and Joyboy. Davy D. Jones made a promise on their grave to protect Joyboy and make him King of the Pirates. Davy D. Jones fought alongside Joyboy, but they lost due to Imu's ridiculous abilities and I wouldn't be surprised if the Figarlands were instrumental to Imu's win. Would explain why Garling's even more of a pompous fu** than most CDs. Teach was taught this promise, but only partially which is why he's antagonizing the good guys.
@Art But Mu said he never was. so either he was almost a king or something else like pirate king. Or maybe Imu is just that old, and it is a ruler since a very long time, Davy D Jones was the first to opose him? but Joy Boy was the first pirate. Or Mu is Davy father lol.
@OpalEyes that is where im at, i don't think JoyBoy and Davy are the same person. 2nd Davy promise is something else, because xebec said that someone will fulfill that promise, which is Davy "dream". is Imu davy?
@King of Cans I don't think Imu is davy and I certainly don't think they're related at all. Imu HATES the Davy bloodline. I think Davy D. Jones was the first king of the world or was the king who led the people from the Moon to the Blue world. We know there's some major going on with the Moon that with the robots there, Enel, and the Maxim. The "promise" could be getting revenge on Imu or multiple things.

@Art Zoro, Nami and brook are the ones with loose ends. but i don't think there will be more to Zoro backstory... Nami and Brook on the other hand. Brook was a pirate before the era of the pirates, why? Brook was before rocks and g** valley.
I don't think Davy was a king. Because what Vegapunk said, we don't know who the good and bad guys are.. was Mu there from the beggning? did Davy try to take the world from Mu? was Davy someone inspired by Joyboy the first pirate? is Davy even from the blue planet?
@King of Cans Oooohhh, I'm intrigued by this. It COULD very well be that Davy was from the Moon and Imu is actually a native of this planet and was super pis*** by these new people coming to the planet. However, I struggle to understand (if that's the case) why Imu is eradicating so many species that are also native. Ohhh, okay. What if Imu is from a different planet and while Davy and the humans came from the Moon? I could see Joyboy being a native to the Blue Planet and being all like "hey! The more the merrier!", Davy being morally grey asf, and Imu acting like an invasive plant who takes over territory and spreads its seeds which then sprout and kill off any competition. Wait a sec... Hold up. What if Imu allows CDs to take as many wives (maybe husbands too?) and procreate as much as possible because it's end goal is to turn them all into demons/baby Mus once they hit a certain population marker or Mu feels threatened enough?
