@Oktas The one who needs to be slapped is Reiji.
@Oktas she didn't "slap some sense into mc", she in fact slap him into the vicious circle of seeking Chizuru again. At this point, Yaemori needs to be slapped some sense too because she's using Kazuya as her personal TV drama.
@mrls026 I must confess that I felt hopeful when Kazuya was giving up, but when Yemori drove him back to stupidity it bothered me, because that means that very soon we will see Kazuya's SIMP renting Mizuhara, then we will return to the loop so hated by the fans.
@Marco Antonio Otarola Rojas for me, Yaemori is the antithesis of Najimi or Fujiwara, chaotic characters made for pacing during the flirting phase, both can move or stop the romantic development in their stories in absurd, yet acceptable ways. On the other side, Yaemori interrupts Kazuya's "grief", forcing him again into Chizuru.
TLDR: I kinda enjoy the absurd of this story and try to find how Mijayima will "ryan-johnson" it with an absurd plot twist.
To be honest, at this point I would hate Kazuya leaving this loop, I have some expectations about how crazy the author will get in order to keep him trapped in this purgatory (and us readers too).
I see a pattern: important arc with a lot of development, a point of apparent no return where they will change forever, then Miyajima goes full Ryan Johnson and subvert expectations in convoluted ways, leaving both Chizuru and Kazuya with a "development reset", then we see some minor arcs and repeat with the "big arc".
At this point, Kazuya could become the next Jacques Cousteau, understand what his fish says, or making his family store into a big company in order to get Chizuru's love, then she would do something dumb that makes everything Kazuya did pointless (randomly inserting Mami, Ruka, Sumi, his friends and grandmother). It's an acquired taste for me, the Sharknado of Japanese stories, it's so dumb and absurd that I laugh at every crazy decision 😂

@mrls026 Okay, there's a maddening amount of nonsense that makes me curious about how this emotional entanglement between the protagonists will end.
