Both shows had a clear objective as to how the Food aspect was going to influence the worldbuilding, Don't u remberer it felt like every chapter of dengeion meshi when they were talking about food and allat 

It was contributing to the Worldbuilding and character writing of the story. Like they don't have to tell us who's is who They just showed it. However this story does Not It doesn't even try to make the dialogue intresting Feels like a chore reading chao9to chapter.

The worldbuilding is Forced at times and serves zero reasons aside from idk what it doing, that's just me tho your take is correct it's a writers skill that determines a story's quality
