Can someone of the extremely open minded and inclusive gen tell me what exactly is a woman to you? Not some person that identifies as a woman, because to identify as a woman you need to know what a woman is and why you identify as one. I ask because I had an argument with a colleague and her trans friend last week and couldnt stop thinking about it. My friend has a trans friend, we were introduced, this is my friend x, this is my friend y. Everything was okay until the trans girl said she went to a date with a cis girl, which is weird to me but not that relevant, just a curious detail, and she was mad that the girl called her trans, said something about her date saying a friend told her he had a trans girl to introduce to her, if she was interested. Trans woman said she was just a woman, not a trans woman so I was like okay. Then she said "like, you are a cis woman, but I am just woman too" and I was like hold up, I am a cis woman but you are just a woman? And there my friend said trans woman are just woman, to which I said sure, you are right, but if trans women are just women then "cis" women are just women too, not cis. You want to call me a cis woman but call a trans just woman? Are you saying the word woman goes to trans and biological women are now cis? Natural born females lost the right to be called women and now shall be called cis, but natural born males that identify as women are the new real women?
I totally support trans women being just women, but if they are just women then so am I. And if you want to call me cis, then trans women are trans, not just women. So you choose, we are both women, JUST WOMEN, or I am cis and they are trans. You gotta choose one, cannot have them both. Trans girl called me insensitive, maybe I am, but I do not think I am wrong
