Chae Taek Gyum is a girl. The way it's translated and the way it's written isn't always obvious, but they go out of their way to mention that she's a girl in one of the frames.

@Prinzinc No, he isn't a girl.. based on my understanding Ho Sang Hwa which is a leader of all female clans... if it isn't for Chae Taek Gyum being powerful, he would be put into Sang Hwa's team.. but he's an inept expert of martial arts he became one of the leaders... and if she's a girl... you should see a breast on his shirt but no... *I would likely put it straight to the point, but I think I'll put some adjustments*
@gae asf He's a boy in the novel and seems to be a girl in the Manhua. Like I said, they go out of their way to say it once to clear it up but it's quick. The difficulty is that I don't think the manhua artist remembers which it is.

@gae asf Wouldn't it be nice if the author and more importantly the artist did a better job so that we weren't so confused? Regardless of who is correct, the fact that this many people are confused about a single character is proof that something went wrong.
@Prinzinc This is based on what the author want him to be look like, but if the author design him to be in such a way.. we have nothing to do 'bout it.. but regardless on what you're saying.. it is faithful for people to be confused about a fictional character.. so something might be wrong... based on his hair, styles, and face you could've see some signs of a girlish in him..
