Actually, it isn't. i'ts just a dream lan zhan had. It did not actually happen, it was only a dream. If it wasnt a dream and it happened, then Yes, it would be r@pe

Hey, I've read the novel and yes, it is indeed a chapter in the novel. The chapter is called "incense burner", Wei wuxian comes across a strange incense burner in the gusu lan sects storage, and, not sensing any ill intent around it, they decided to test it out. There is no effect, however when they went to sleep they discovered that it allowed you to look into the dreams of the people using it. Wei Wuxian dreamed about a comfortable retirement with lan wangji, it was his deepest desire towards the end of the novel (fullfilled, btw <3). On the other hand when it came to lan wangjis dream, he dreamed about the time during adolescence where wei wuxian jokingly tricked him into reading an erotic magazine. What transpired here did not really happen in reality, but the scenario twisted into lan wangjis desire. Whether he was aware that he loved him (at this point in reality) or not in unknown, but wei wuxian definitely had him feeling a certain kind of way as adolescents hahahah

Yess, it happened and at the same time it didn't happen. I'll try to explain,
in book 1 there is a scene where the wangxian couple were in the library arguing (they weren't fighting) and they talk about this erotic book that fell from his hand (in this manga, just see the beginning) but they didn't end up fighting, and wei wuxian just went away from the library.
now we arrive at this scene (5 books have passed, and now we are in the extras, I don't remember which chapter exactly).
Then, as the comment above explained, it rolled with the incense, and then the wangxian couple entered lan zhan's dream. And in lan zhan's dream, it was that day in the library, but instead of wuxian just leaving like it happened in book 1..
Lan zhan dreamed that they fought and then what you saw in this manga happened.
Where am I getting at? in the end, even the wangxian couple getting into lan zhan's dream, what they do and stop doing won't change anything, because that was just a dream,
