I don't understand, why does it looks like he's scared everytime his friends starts muttering a word

Would you not be scared, living with zombies? Also seems an incident happened to all of them since they were together, but mc is the only one that's normal, or survived, I'd say. Can you even imagine the guilt that would leave you with. I would be constantly unnerved just from seeing them if I had to live with that.
