Ironic part is if he never existed in the "second lap" the hero party may learn to take care of themselves better and survive. The way he is injecting himself as porter on the second try feels wrong an almost waste of plotline.

@Monsoonawasa highly doubt that 😂 they struggled even with him on the 2nd try, and he was needed to train them to even be strong enough. The fact that every world failed after he left is proof enough that none of them could save the world without him.
